Dog Walking

Regular walks offer a wide range of benefits for dogs, both physically and mentally. Physical activity helps maintain a healthy weight, strengthens muscles and joints, and supports cardiovascular health. Just as importantly, walks provide mental stimulation—new scents, sights, and sounds engage a dog’s senses and help prevent boredom, which can reduce unwanted behaviours at home.

If you have a busy work schedule, physical health problems, can't keep up with your dog's energy levels, or whatever the reason may be, I am here to help.  I shall collect your dog from your home (in most cases when you are away from home) and take them for a lovely walk, and then safely drop them home again.

I only offer 1-2-1 walks, or walks for up to two dogs from the same household.  The reason I don't offer group walks in public areas is simply due to safety.  The welfare of your dog, and myself is top priority.  The more dogs walked at the same time in public areas, the higher the risk is of a dog becoming lost or injured, or another dog or member of the public becoming upset, especially if their dog is reactive.

Your dog will be kept on lead unless the walk is in an appropriate area for off lead walking and you confirm that they have good recall.  I shall provide treats unless your dog has dietary requirements and/or you would like to provide your own.  I provide all poo bags.  Please just ensure their collar (and harness if worn) plus lead is kept in the same place for all my visits.

Do you think your dog would prefer the company of up to 3 other dogs in a SECURE and ENCLOSED field or dog adventure park?  Instead or in addition to the 1-2-1 walking service? Navigate back to the Home Page formore information on Group Dog Adventures that I provide.

FAQs

My dog pulls on the lead, is that a problem?

My second dog, Reggie, also pulls on the lead.  Although he is doing better as each day goes on, using a specific training approach, the lead pulling is still present, but it is manageable.  Unless your dog is an extra large breed, I should manage just fine.  However, the first walk will be a trial.
